| Roberto Medrano
Recognized as an international expert in the field of Internet
security, Roberto Medrano travels the world educating business, government,
academia
and law enforcement about the importance of ensuring security, privacy
and trust on the Internet. An active member on President Bush’s
National Security Advisory Committee, The White House National Strategy
to Secure Cyberspace, and participated in President Clinton’s
White House Security Summit. Mr. Medrano helped to create the firewall,
content security and security policy segments of the security market.

and Analysis Center (IT-ISAC).
Mr. Medrano was CEO of PoliVec, leader in security policy. Prior to
PoliVec, Inc. Mr. Medrano was at Hewlett-Packard (HP) where he was General
Manager
of the E-Services and Internet Security Divisions. As Division general
manager for Hewlett-Packard, Medrano served a vital role as head of HP's
key strategic emerging businesses. Prior to joining HP, Medrano was president
of Finjan, a leading security software firm. He also served as vice president
of Milkyway Networks (IPO 1996) and has held executive positions at Avnet
Inc. and Sun Microsystems Inc.
Medrano has received numerous awards for business and product achievement
from leading business and industry publications including Fortune, Red
Herring, PC Magazine, InfoWorld, PC World, Data Communications and others.
Mr. Medrano has published numerous articles and quoted several thousand
times. He has been selected as one of "The 100 most influential
Hispanics in 2001" and is a founder and CEO for Hispanic-net www.hispanic-net.org,
a non-profit organization. Medrano holds a Master's degree in Business
Administration from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA),
a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical
engineering from the University of Southern California (USC).
Mark Kremer
Mark Kremer is a U.S. and Israeli citizen with more than 15 years experience
as a successful Silicon Valley executive and entrepreneur. Prior to
joining Benchmark, Mark served as CEO of Broadbase Software Inc. (Nasdaq:
BBSW),
a leading provider of e-business applications. Mark founded Broadbase
in November 1995, receiving early funding from Benchmark. As CEO of
Broadbase, Mark recruited an outstanding executive team and led the
company to a
leadership position in the e-business applications market. In the nine
years prior to founding Broadbase, Mark held several executive positions
in high-profile Silicon Valley companies, including Oracle and Verity.
Prior to moving to the U.S. in 1986, Mark was one of the pioneering
engineers of Motorola Semiconductor in Israel.
Dr. Aviel D. Rubin
Dr. Aviel D. Rubin is a world-renowned expert in computer and Internet
security. Besides 2 well-known books on computer security, Rubin
has authored over 40 peer reviewed journals and conference papers.
He has
helped design and build several well-known security systems including
Khat, Betsi, Billkeeper, Crowds, Absent, and Publius. Rubin has written
feature articles on the Internet and web security for Web Development
Magazine, Web Techniques Magazine, Encarta Encyclopedia, and many
others. Dr. Rubin is a frequent speaker to industry groups and to
system administrators
and IT managers on Wall Street, and he has chaired four major Computer
Science conferences. He is frequently quoted in such publications
as the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Business Week 2.0,
and
the Industry Standard. Rubin holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and
Engineering
from the University of Michigan. Currently, Dr. Rubin works at John
Hopkins University where he holds dual positions as Associate Professor,
Computer
Science Department and Technical Director, Information Security Institute.
In April 2000, he was elected to the board of directors of the USENIX
organization.
